American Airlines out of Shannon, Ireland…Horrible Service!

It use to be the standard that American Airlines flew with some sort of Business/First class service on International routes. Well that changed in May when they decided to forgoe Business Class and book everyone under one cabin class, economy. I have learned after today that you get what you pay for. It seemed that they pulled out the oldest plane in the fleet to service the Chicago O’Hare/Shannon route. Sure, the flight was cheaper but the service was terrible. The inflight movie was intermittant, the stewardess never smiled. The flight was hour late leaving and to no one’s surprise I missed my connection to Austin all the while several of us in the same situation were told they were going to hold the plane.

I was able to gain elite status because of the amount of times I have flown back and forth for work so one can imagine the American AAdvantage desk will be getting an earful from me when I calm down…
