An Epiphany Called The InfoSec Daily
In what can be described as a “blink of an eye” it came out of nowhere at 3:30 am in the morning. For my current contract position in Ireland, while I am in the states, I work GMT hours, meaning I work from 3AM to 11AM CST. This equates to 9AM to 5PM GMT in Ireland. While sitting here in the haze of the darkest part of the morning, it hit me. What hit me you may ask? Let me tell you. I realized very quickly that it would be very difficult to maintain one site focused on everything. Over the past week I had struggled with maintaining one site that was all things to all people. It just didn’t feel right. So, I separated the Information Security section from my personal site and it is now called “The InfoSec Daily.” This will allow me now to focus squarely on just Information Security topics and methodologies on that site going forward while maintaining more personal related topics on my site here.
I am still amazed at how I do my best work late at night. That hasn’t changed since I was a kid running up long distances charges trying to log into bulletin board systems and getting an earful from my dad when the telephone bill showed up in the mail.
Man, those were the days…
