Are you kidding me?!?!?

Ok, as I noted below I just upgraded my HTC TyTN to Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Was having a terrible time getting various bluetooth headphones to work with the older Windows Mobile 5 the HTC came installed with. So on a lark, since everything I have tried on the new OS has worked, I glanced over at my mothballed HP Bluetooth Stereo Headphones and paused…Well why not give them a shot. I hadn’t used these since I was actively using my HP 4700 on a daily basis in 2004.

Shock upon shock when I powered the headphones on, they actually powered on! We are talking 2 years here with no use except for the occasional failed attempt at pairing the alleged “HP Only” headphones to my Sprint 6700 and now the HTC TyTN. I have to say that these babies have some serious staying power. I placed the headphones in discovery mode and engaged a bluetooth search for them with my TyTN and waddaya know! They paired immediately! Stunned, you bet I was. There was no way these were supposed to work with this phone and they do. I fired up Windows Media Player and began to jam. I couldn’t believe it, what was old is now new again and sounding better than ever! No persistant hiss, no skips nothing, just beautiful sound.

It’s nice to save money every once in while because I was definately on my way to buy a bluetooth stereo headset. No Mas! :)
