Give us unfettered access or shut down…your choice…

Commentary: I typically don’t just post or link to every information security news item out there. For one there are waaay too many and two, I just don’t have the time. As some have noticed, my posts mostly involve privacy or breach related news. So, to be expedient, I post on compelling news or rulings on those topics and comment as needed. Well, this is compelling privacy news and I am commenting…Where does this end? This march down the path where governments want to know anything and everything will not end until people say enough. Honestly, it seems like everyweek, another agency, regardless of country, wants to read or have access to private information. In the U.S. we are “supposed” to have protections safeguarding our privacy. Hmm…yeah, we are supposed to….But hey this all good since I’ve got nothing to hide, right?
